Christine is the Brand and Marketing Manager here at The Future Forest Company. With over a decade of experience in social media, brand management and e-commerce, Christine is responsible for growing our brand and community. Uniting individuals and businesses ready to plant lots of trees and have a real impact on reversing climate change.

Corin Jack

Woodland Carbon Administrator

Corin previously worked as a social science researcher at the University of Edinburgh on projects involving large-scale Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) as well as low carbon energy alternatives. 

David Carruth

Site Assistant, Brodoclea

David grew up on two family run dairy farms in the heart of Renfewshire, it was working these farms with his uncles and grandparents that he fell in love with the natural world. Inspired by his grandfather’s love of nature, he began working and volunteering in conservation and habitat creation in Norway, Canada, Tanzania and the Peruvian Amazon, where he experienced working in thriving ecosystems first-hand.

David joined The Future Forest Company from Trees for Cities, where he was Chief Executive for seven years.  His career has spanned the commercial and not-for-profit sectors and taken him to most continents.  Understanding and experiencing the diversity of the natural world has been his lifelong passion.

Jamie has spent the last 7 years helping connect people in the events industry across recruitment, media and brand experiences and has joined The Future Forest Company to help clients create a positive impact. When not at his desk you will find Jamie running the trails of North Nottinghamshire, kayaking on the Chesterfield Canal or out walking with his faithful companion and co-worker Murphy the Labrador. Also known to be an enthusiastic taster of anything double dry hopped or brewed in a New Zealand or New England style.

Kate Truby

Partnerships Manager

Kate is part of the Partnerships Team here at The Future Forest Company. With a degree in English and part of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership alumni, she also has over twenty years experience in client management and has worked and travelled all over the world. It was one of these trips that ignited a realisation and passion for creating positive environmental change and the rest, as they say, is history – leading her to implement a sustainability roadmap within a global organisation. She is dedicated to empowering businesses to take the right steps towards positive ecological impact. When Kate is not talking about reforestation, biodiversity or peatland restoration, you can find her chasing after her energetic Vizsla cross and young daughter somewhere in the Pentland Hills or exploring the beaches up on the Outer Hebrides.

Ken Porter

Agroforestry Lead

Ken manages our Brodoclea Forest, as well as sharing his expertise and wisdom as we grow our new forests. With two decades of experience managing large-scale estates, Ken managed and transformed the 3,500 acres at the Tanlawhill Estate in Dumfriesshire to be fully organic, looking after 1600 sheep, 100 cows and managing 7 holiday cottages. When he’s not knee-deep in mud, Ken can be found playing badminton, stretching it out at yoga or sipping a nice pint of IPA or a glass of red wine.

Lindsay Mackinlay

Head of Ecology

Lindsay has been working in ecology for over 30 years; it’s a key part of who he is as much as being a job. Lindsay has a degree in Ecological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters in Environmental Impact Assessment from University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Lindsay has worked in many sectors, including research, government and NGOs, and been lucky enough to work around the world too on a wide variety of wildlife, from Scottish wildcats to Houbara bustards to Alpine Woodsias! Most recently Lindsay ran his own ecological consultancy business being involved in forestry and agri-environment work, protected species, rare plant surveys, deer management and training. Lindsay currently lives in Scotland with his partner and two kids. When not working and dealing with the day-to-day, he likes to get out hillwalking, doing a bit of photography, trying new beers with friends and going to gigs.

Quinn Mackenzie

Site Operations Manager

Quinn was certified to practice arboriculture and forestry in Canada in 2012. Since then, Quinn has worked in both urban and rural forestry. He started his career as a Climbing Arborist, planting, pruning and harvesting woodlands. Since then, Quinn has gained hands on experience in almost every other aspect of forest creation and management.

Rachel Clark

Head of Finance

Rachel is a ICAS qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years finance experience working for large corporates (in Scotland and Sydney), local charities and more recently within the start-up space, specifically with eco-conscious companies looking to make a difference in the fight against climate change.   She has experience in seed investment and debt funding raises > £1m and hopes to use her strategic modelling skills and commercial acumen to support FFC’s future growth.

Savannah Lee-Warden

Marketing and Communications Assistant

Savannah is the Marketing and Communications Assistant at The Future Forest Company. She grew up between South Africa, New Zealand and Ireland and after studying Environmental Science, settled in Dorset’s countryside. She has a background in content management and marketing within the environmental and humanitarian field and is passionate about the role marketing plays in driving change. Savannah was drawn to The Future Forest Company because of our holistic approach to reformation and fighting the climate crisis and is excited to use her experience and background to help us foster our existing partnerships, reach more people and plant more trees!
